Our Head Coach and Director

Coach Romeo holds a Masters Degree in Education. Before he became a full-time vocal/singing coach, he had taught at his own alma mater and other institutions for more than twenty years in total.

Naturally shy and often bothered by low self-esteem, he happily found his passion for singing at the age of 16. To raise his confidence level, he later forged good relationships with fellow students who would take their singing to the next level. With their influence, he then joined various singing competitions and performed in multiple events inside and outside his university. He even became a wedding and funeral singer on several occasions.

Coach Romeo worships creativity. He loves to improvise songs, create his own mashups and medleys which he performed with some groups he formed in the past. He is not only a lover of music but also of literature. He writes poems, short stories, and musical plays. He even composed and sang his own wedding song.

He used to dream of becoming a star in the world of singing. But as he got a bit older and wiser, he realised he wanted to do something more noble, and that is to help others become ‘stars’ in their own right. In other words, he desires to give the unknown voices the value they deserve. Taking this principle as an impetus, Coach Romeo teaches his students with strong dedication as he takes pride in guiding the human voice that is truly unique in every person. In 2021, his dream came true when a student of his signed up for Sony Music as an international singer.

Being in the profession for 10 years now, Coach Romeo believes that a true vocal coach keeps a real teacher within. That is, he must fully understand what he is teaching, create methods and strategies based on the singing problems of the individual students, and become a student again by learning from his teaching experiences, including the people who have mastered the art of singing and teaching.

“I teach myself first before I teach others and then I patiently go down to the level of each student each time I teach them what I taught myself,” is Coach Romeo’s ultimate teaching credo.

Our Approach

Our knowledge of the temperament of your instrument enables us to communicate with your voice effectively and efficiently. The parts of your body which create your voice, and it’s not just your vocal cords, are mostly muscular in nature. Muscles need to be given training to produce the result you want, much like in your ability to run fast or to perform complex tasks.

VW focuses on building a strong singing foundation through deep breathing, breath control and management, tone placement, vocal registration, and muscle manipulation and coordination. Doing the relevant exercises will make you understand your own voice, its weaknesses and strengths, and then be able to work on them systematically.

While training your voice, VW will first makes use of the songs you love and then gradually guide you to the genre that may suit you better. If you have found your style already, then you will be guided on how to strengthen your singing in that category.

The Voice Whisperer aims at providing you these skills through our structured and versatile methods. Our very own TOTAL SINGING APPROACH is healthy, highly efficient and eclectic to suit everyone’s singing needs. The VW will help you bring out the best of your singing voice as we seek to exhibit its beauty for the world to cherish.

The Voice Whisperer perceives your inner voice as an untapped energy within you. We are extremely sensitive to its needs and capabilities. We also know that the bad habits of your body when you sing, the lack of right technique and approaches for the chosen genre, and a myriad of other issues have kept your voice behind bars. Yes, we hear your inner voice and it is yearning for freedom.
